Tiffin tour
Did I mention we bought a 2006 Tiffin Allegro Bay 37ft motorhome? It's awesome! Mike and I were off yesterday so we decided to drive to Red Bay, AL were the Tiffin plant is located and take a tour. We made a day trip out of it and it was a nice little outing. The weather turned cold and it was really windy. I'm glad we weren't driving the motorhome at the time. It was blowing the little jeep around enough. Once we arrived, we went on the tour and got to see some motorhomes being made. I think they make 11 a day! It was interesting because we learning a little more about the construction of the motorhome (insulation and reinforcements) and where certain hoses/tanks/etc are located. You can't really see any of this after the final construction is finished. When we left, we picked up some of the back issues of the magazine that Tiffin puts out so I guess I'll have a little more reading to do. It's all research. Mike just finished reading the owners manual. Now at least we feel like we know a little more about our rig. For example, we know how to dewinterized it when the time comes, at least in theory...or how to weigh it once it is full of our stuff. Oh my! This will be quite interesting.
