Free the hops

Friday was my first day at my old job. Mike and I are back in the town we lived in for the last few years. It was nice to see all my old friends and coworkers. I put together a little photo album from our trip so that everyone could see what we've been up to for the last 6 months. I can' t believe it's only been 6 months!

Saturday night we went to a fundraiser for an orgaization called Free the hops. Alabama is one of only a few states that doesn't allow beer over 6% alcohol content. This organization is trying to get the law changed. According to the lawmakers in this state, they don't want the high alcohol content beer falling into the hands of underage drinkers. Although, I don't think minors are going to shell out the extra cash for the import beer and they probably don't have the taste for the dark beer. Anyway, we made our donation and got some free import beer. Yum. The band was pretty decent, too. Afterward, we went to the bowling alley for "rock and bowl" or whatever they called it. You know, glow bowl, black lights, disco ball, rock music. It was a fun night.
