BRRR!

Brrr! As in, it's below freezing almost everynight and in the 40's during the day with a wind speed of 10-20mph. In anticipation of the colder weather, we tried to take precautions to keep our water line from freezing by insulting it with some pipe insulation. We thought this insulation, along with heat from the furnace blowing into the water hold, would keep our water line from freezing. It worked pretty well until last Sunday night. The temp dropped into the teens and surprise, Monday morning, no water. No problem, there's water in the holding tank....nope, the entire water line was frozen. I melted some ice cubes in the microwave so that I could brush my teeth. :) Thank goodness I was didn't have to go to work on Monday! Mike went and bought some type of heat light to keep the hold a little warmer and we have been letting the faucet drip slowly throughout the night. It seems to have solved the problem.

Wednesday night we had about two inches of snow. It was a beautiful sight at 2am. I would have loved to have had a photo of the RV covered in snow but by 6am, the snow had turned to rain/sleet and was already melting off the snow.

We have a little less than one week left here and I have already started planning our trip back to Texas. I have really enjoyed visiting with friends here and I am sad to leave them so soon but I am really excited to get back and visit with family.
