Visiting the fam

Mike and I arrived in central Texas on Saturday evening. We left Alabama and made the drive in two days, which is pretty quick for us. It has been a good week. We have been busy visiting with family and friends and we have eaten very well. The good food is abundant! While we are here, we are staying in my mom's guest house and not in the RV, so the RV is undergoing some early spring cleaning. We are able to park it on the property and have 15 amp electricity to keep the batteries charged. We have left the furnace on to keep the water from freezing at night. Today we're driving it over to a local RV park to refill the fresh water tank and look for a leak. We left Alabama with at least 1/2 a tank and ran out of fresh water in less than 24 hours (without taking a shower). Something was amiss because there was no way we used that much water. When we were in Reno, NV something similar happened and it turned out to be a loose hose from the water tank which dripped out all our water. Hopefully it turnes out to be something as simple as that and not a cracked tank or worse.
