Las Vegas Christmas

And you thought you saw a lot of lights this Christmas. We got back from the city of "lost wages" last evening. We had a wonderful time and actually came back with a little more money than we took. Yeah! Each time we go it's a little different experience but it's always fun. Can't wait to go back!

Xmas

I have been working some extra shifts to help pay for the RV during these months that we have both a house payment and an RV payment. So I have been pretty busy. In our spare time, we go out to the RV and work on personalizing it. Mike has the entertainment system pretty much taken apart. He is changing the wiring around so that we can customize it. Our Xmas present to ourselves, besides the RV, is a new TV, which will be installed in the the RV once we are out on the road. We are getting excited about Las Vegas! We will be spending Xmas in Las Vegas with some of Mike's family and I think we are going to have a great time!

Just back from Texas

I have been in Texas for the last week. Well, Sat-Fri, for a meeting, but mostly to visit the family. I travelled there on a free ticket I had from Delta. Made it home ok. Delta's plane was broken by the time it arrived in San Antonio. Something in the cockpit started to malfunction while it was in the air and they wouldn't send it back up till it was fixed (ok with me). They didn't have the part in stock in SA and the plane wouldn't leave for Atlanta until 3 hours late. Therefore, everyone would miss their connecting flights. The Delta rep was able to put me on an American flight which got me home about 20 min earlier than my original flight. Which sounded ok but the layover in DFW was short and I was worried about my bag, which was checked at Delta and they said they would take it over to AA (in the other terminal). Sure enough, got home and no bag. The AA counter couldn't find it in the system so the guy called Delta and they didn't have a record of it. We didn't know if it went to Atlanta or DFW. Anyway, they delivered it to my house the next morning. The delivery guy had to haul a 49lb bag up to the door. I have a steep driveway. It barely made the weight limit at the airport :)
Anyway, the weather was pretty nice. Cold at night. I had a really nice time and could have stayed forever if Mike would have been there too. Alas, I am back home. We spent most of Sunday at the RV hanging out and customizing it. I love it. Next trip is Las Vegas over Christmas with Mike's dad and grandma. Should be a good time.
