Mineola

The weather was in the 70's and sunny all week, of course, I was at work. When Friday rolled around so did the severe weather. I think there was a tornado in the county to our north. We were fortunate and passed through a weakened area of the storm. Saturday is was in the 50's and windy. Mike and I met some friends, Bob and Linda for lunch in Mineola, TX. It was a very nice visit and we were happy to see them again.

Lazy Easter weekend

Not much new to report. Just another lazy weekend. The temps here were in the 40's during the day and 30's at night plus it drizzled all weekend. Not really good weather for doing things outside so we stayed in and watched movies. Hopefully next weekend the weather will be nice and we can do something fun.

Hill Country Wildflowers

Last weekend we drove home to visit family. Also, I had a job interview on Monday. The wildflowers were beautiful! It's been a while since I have been home during bluebonnet season.

We left town on Thursday around 3:30 and ran into some pretty heavy rain around 5pm in Waco. After that it was smooth driving and we ended up making it into the Austin area around 8pm. Friday we ran some errands in Austin and went to Ikea. Love that store! The rest the weekend we spent some time with my mom and dad, and Tracy, Phillip and Lincoln. Sunday was the monster truck show out at the fairgrounds. My second monster truck show since February! Who would have ever thought it. Monday I spoke with a hospital (within a few hours of all our family) about a CRNA position in the morning and we drove back to the moho later that day. The rest of the week is back to usual.

After work Tuesday, we packed up the MH and moved to a new park across town. The old park was in a sketchy looking neighborhood and after I heard some stories about the neighbors, I was ready to move. The new place is WAY better! I'll try to take some photos.

Tuesday night we had some excitement. The weather radio woke me up around 1:30 in the morning for a severe thunderstorm. We had some small hail and wind gusts up to 67mph (I know this because that is what the airport reported, which is almost across the street). It poured for a while and then we had a magnificent lightning show. The weather radio woke me up every hour for the next three hours as the storm passed through the surrounding counties and new storm warnings were being issued.
